Fifth round in Jalmicco, successes for Stefanutti and Pivetti

Another solo by Fabio Stefanutti (Atletica Buja) and Elisa Pivetti (Asd Libertas Udine). The two athletes took home the victory at the “Strade bianche” of Jalmicco, the fifth stage of the Trofeo Friuli and a country trail race held over a distance of 7.8 km thanks to Jalmicco Corse. On an off-road course, starting from via Oberdan in Palmanova, the two runners crossed the finish line with times of 28'08'' and 33'12'' respectively. Stefanutti scored a poker: for him it was in fact the fifth consecutive victory, for Pivetti the fourth. Both also stood out in the overall race, which is also open to those not registered for the Trofeo Friuli.
In this regard, the standard-bearer of Atletica Buja left behind Matteo Fantin (Atletica San Biagio), second in 28'16'' and Federico Zamò (Atletica Monfalcone), third in 28'35''. Among the participants in the Trophy, the second position was instead the prerogative of Matteo Monai, the third of Gianni Bellina (respectively members of Piani di Vas and Prealpi Giulie). Among the women, Pivetti outdistanced Giulia Trombetta (Prealpi Giulie), silver medal with a time of 33'37'' and Erika Venturini (Keep Moving), bronze in 34'45''. Both are part of the Trofeo Friuli.
A total of 251 runners participated in the race, of which 228 were registered in the circuit (set up by the Fidal Provincial Committee of Udine) and 23 “daily runners”. The next round, the sixth, is scheduled for Sunday 13 July in Lignano with the “Lignano 1.5 k”, a 1500-meter race that takes place on the track at the Teghil stadium and accompanies the “Sport and solidarity” meeting set up by Nuova Atletica dal Friuli.
The Friuli Trophy is a circuit open to all runners who are part of the Fidal absolute and master categories, Run Card holders and members of sports promotion bodies recognised by Fidal.
