Forlì makes its away debut. A match against Juvi Cremona.

For the third consecutive year, the team will make its away debut. Yesterday at 2 p.m., the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro , in agreement with the competitive sector of the FIP, the championship organizer, announced the first day of the 2025/26 Serie A2 Old Wild West , scheduled for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, which will see Unieuro debut in Cremona, away to Juvi.

At 12:00 today, the full championship schedule will be announced, compiled using the asymmetric format. Unlike a few years ago, the 38 matchdays no longer feature matches from the same round of the first and second half of the season.

Forlì , therefore, will make its debut on the road for the third year in a row. Just like last year, when the first game was played on September 29th (and lost 77-69) in Cividale, and the one on October 1st, 2023, when they won 61-78 in Cento. Forlì will therefore make its debut in Cremona on either Saturday, September 20th or Sunday, September 21st, on the very same court where on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, in the 15th round of the first leg of last season, they won 74-79 with 13 points from Gaspardo, 10 each from Harper, Parravicini, and Perkovic, and above all with an all-around performance from Riccardo Tavernelli, who was the best player on the court, finishing with 6 points, 6 assists, 7 fouls drawn, and 9 rebounds. And above all, the 6/6 free throws in the final 39 seconds of the game that sealed the result in favor of the red and whites from Romagna.

Unieuro , which by regulation is scheduled to play the second round at home on September 28th, may be forced to request a postponement of that match due to the second phase of construction work currently underway at the Forlì stadium. The agreement stipulates that the municipality must complete the work and return the stadium to the team by the end of September. This, unless it is completed earlier, could force Martino's team to play their first two matches away, in addition to the one on October 21st and the one on October 5th (postponing the one scheduled for the 28th), making their home debut on Wednesday, October 8th.

Before the tournament begins, the Forlì team will be busy with a busy preseason. On Friday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 23rd, Unieuro will participate in the Riccione tournament alongside Fortitudo, Pesaro, and Cividale (the first match is Friday at 8:45 p.m., Forlì vs. Pesaro), followed a week later (Friday, August 29th and Saturday, August 30th) by another tournament in Modena against the same Juvi team, Cremona, Mestre, and Pistoia. On September 5th and 6th, the red and whites will play in Lignano Sabbiadoro in the four-way tournament against Cento, Cividale, and Mestre, while on Saturday, September 13th, they will compete in the Super Cup Final Four (at a venue yet to be determined), facing Cividale in the semifinals.
