Hamilton spun in Sprint qualifying at Spa: "I'm very frustrated." Piastri took pole.

A disaster. Lewis Hamilton 's Friday at Spa ended earlier than expected. At the Belgian GP, the Englishman crashed out during Q1 of qualifying for the Sprint Race after a spin. It was also a bad day for Kimi Antonelli , who finished last and also missed out on the first qualifying round.
Hamilton out in Q1 of sprint qualifying at SpaA mistake by Hamilton, as we were saying, and the Ferrari spun. The seven-time world champion's Sprint qualifying session lasted very little. He was immediately eliminated, in the first qualifying round; it's hard to do worse. A decidedly unexpected result after the pre-race comments in which the Englishman announced a battle for the present and the future: "There's not much to say, I spun. I'm very frustrated, obviously, but tomorrow is another day and I hope it goes better."

Oscar Piastri took pole in tomorrow's race. Between him and teammate Lando Norris , who is third, is Max Verstappen in the Red Bull. Charles Leclerc in the other Ferrari is fourth. On the third row are Haas's Frenchman Esteban Ocon (1'41"565) and Williams's Spaniard Carlos Sainz (1'41"761), fifth and sixth fastest respectively. Completing the top ten are Haas's British driver Oliver Bearman (1'41"857), Alpine's Frenchman Pierre Gasly (1'41"959), Racing Bulls' Frenchman Isack Hadjar (1'41"971) and Sauber's Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto (1'42"176).
