Here's how to participate with your own text. Poetry reading for peace by the Dante Alighieri Society.

On the occasion of the next World Peace Day , the Dante Alighieri Society of La Spezia, chaired by Carlo Raggi, is launching the initiative 'As long as the sun shines on human misfortunes: readings for peace, against all wars', a public reading of poetry for peace, open to anyone who wishes to participate with their own text, scheduled for September 19th at the Pacinotti scientific high school.
The International Day of Peace , celebrated today, September 21, is a universal call for unity and mutual respect among nations and individuals. Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981, its primary goal is to promote peace and the well-being of all. It is a day that transcends borders, cultures, and traditions, uniting people from around the world in the name of a common ideal: peace.
Each participant in the La Spezia initiative may submit a text of up to 30 verses, which must not contain offensive, obscene, or violent content. Interested parties must submit their text for evaluation to the email address of the president of the Dante Spezzina Association, Raggi ( [email protected] ) no later than Thursday. Participants must include their name, surname, address, and a brief resume. Minors must also submit written parental authorization, along with identification documents (any exclusion from participation is final).
Finally, the poems will be collected in an anthology edited by the Dante Alighieri Society of La Spezia, which will honor all the selected compositions.
