In Transalpina, the first pole vault competition in history between two countries

WATCH THE VIDEO A run-up in Italy and a landing on the mat in Slovenia. This will be the unique feature, never before seen in an international pole vault competition, of "Jumping Overcoming Boundaries," the event that will see some of the sport's biggest stars compete in Piazza Transalpina, between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, on Friday, July 25th. The event will feature American Katie Moon, reigning world champion and Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo in 2021. The women's competition, at 4:30 p.m., will open the event.
The men's competition, which will start at 6:30 pm, is also of an excellent standard and will see names such as Norway's Sondre Guttormsen, winner of the 2023 continental indoor title, and Dutchman Menno Vloon, the reigning European indoor champion.
But above all, it will be the first time in history that a pole vault competition will take place across two states.
There will be approximately a thousand seats available to the public: entry to the square will be free.
