Judo, Prato Academy shines in A1 Italian Cup

Prato, 13 June 2025 - A few days ago, the Coppa Italia A1 di judo took place in Lido di Ostia. And in the context of a competition that saw the best athletes in Italy compete, the Accademia Prato won two medals thanks to the tenacity and commitment of its members. Starting for example with Sofia Kubler in the “+78 kg” category, who after losing the first and third match won all the subsequent matches by ippon, reaching the bronze. A clean sweep also for Alex Carta in the “-90 kg” category, who won the “final” at the “golden score” obtaining a bronze medal on a par with her teammate. Lorenzo Pagliai and Diletta Martinasso also took part in the Lazio trip for the Prato team, with the latter who despite being injured managed to win the match she was competing in (and then had to withdraw from the competition). Martinasso had also performed well in the past weeks in the A2 Italian Cup, coming close to the final victory in the "-57 kg" category and returning to Prato with a silver medal that gives hope for the next outings. The group of the master Fabio Barni has finally resumed training, with the aim of continuing to improve and further increase the medal count.
