Roma drew 2-2 with Neom seven days before the start of Serie A

Seven days after their league debut against Bologna at the Olimpico, Roma drew 2-2 against Saudi club Neom at the 'Stripe' in Frosinone.

All four goals came in the first half, with Cristante and Soulé scoring for the Giallorossi, while Benhrama and Abdi scored for the Arabs. Dybala returned to the starting lineup, partnering Soulé (for the first time), for a lineup that, barring the exclusions of Koné and Wesley, could mirror the starting eleven Gian Piero Gasperini has in mind for his Roma side. Lorenzo Pellegrini is still out, struggling to recover from his injury and also the subject of several transfer rumors that he's leaving the capital. Kumbulla (close to joining Mallorca) and Salah-Eddine are also out, like the Albanian center-back who is at the center of Roma's outgoings. During the match played at the Benito Stirpe in Frosinone, Gasperini even had a moment to vent, shouting "Where is he, where is he?" at the bench following a mistake by Ghilardi in the first half.
