Rome, Wesley's first crowd bath at Fiumicino

Brazilian footballer Wesley Vinícius França Lima, Roma's new signing for the 2025/26 season, arrived at Fiumicino Airport this morning at 6:20 a.m., arriving on a scheduled ITA Airways flight from Rio de Janeiro. Following El Aynaoui and Ferguson, the 22-year-old Brazilian right-back's Giallorossi adventure is about to begin. He has already represented the Brazilian national team, previously playing for Flamengo, and will be available to Gian Piero Gasperini after signing a contract. Accompanied by agents, smiling, and wearing black t-shirt and pants, Wesley was greeted by Giallorossi staff at the Rome airport immediately after landing.

At Fiumicino Airport, after disembarking, Wesley, while waiting for his luggage, took his first selfies with airport staff and passengers, who greeted him with "Forza Roma!" Then, outside Terminal 3, he received his first warm embrace from around a hundred fans, many very young, wearing Roma scarves and banners. Despite the early hour, they did not fail to welcome him, literally hugging him with affection and singing chants praising him and Roma. Wesley, escorted, then boarded a black van, from which he also signed autographs on several fan shirts and scarves, and then left the Rome airport at 6:55 a.m. The customary medical checks awaited him in the capital.
