The new Pescara club has Letizia back. Verratti is a partner: announcement imminent.

Pescara is starting over with its amulet: the permanent return of Gaetano Letizia from Feralpisalò. The defender, who arrived last January at the behest of sporting director Foggia, has become a symbol of the club's promotion to the playoffs last June. With him, Vivarini has acquired a valuable defensive asset (he can play full-back or centre-back) and a leader in the dressing room. But the former Carpi and Benevento player isn't the only player in the squad being assembled for their return to Serie B. Defender Gabriele Corbo, 25, formerly of Bologna and Montreal (last year in Cordoba, Spain), arrived a few days ago. Also official is Giacomo Olzer, 24, an attacking midfielder who was released from Brescia. Roma's Leonardo Graziani (born in 2005) is already in training camp as part of the Arena deal, having been sold for €1 million plus the attacking midfielder's rights.
Foggia is now looking to accelerate three signings: a goalkeeper—Desplanches is top of the list, but the sporting director has already locked down the 33-year-old Bardi—to replace Plizzari (who returned to Venezia), a central midfielder, and a striker. On the latter front, negotiations are accelerating with Napoli for the loan of Sgarbi, who spent last season between Bari and Juve Stabia, but in the meantime, the groundwork has been laid with Spezia to bring Lapadula back to the Adriatico. This is a difficult move, but Pescara is trying. Discussions have been opened with Salernitana, who are interested in Tongya, Legowski, and Sepe, in exchange for Pellacani, Tonin, and Meazzi. Foggia will also make an approach with Juve for Comenencia.
While awaiting the next additions, Vincenzo Vivarini's work continues in Silvi Marina: this afternoon at 6:00 PM, the second test against Royale Union Tubize-Braine, a Belgian third-tier club. The Abruzzo-born coach, returning to Pescara after his playing days and a spell on the bench in 2007, continues with technical tests of his 4-3-3 formation. On the pitch, the coach's eagerness to relaunch the club is palpable, as he doesn't want to disappoint his fans and return to the glories of Catanzaro after his unfortunate stint at Frosinone. The club is also working quietly: Marco Verratti's arrival as a partner of president Sebastiani through Delfino Capital is expected to be made official. The former PSG midfielder, recently transferred to Qatar (at Al-Duhail), will have a representative on the board of directors. Verratti's arrival, announced just as the playoff final was decisively won on penalties against Ternana, has brought renewed enthusiasm to the club.
