Thieves in Michel Platini's home: trophies and medals stolen

Former Juventus and French national team star and former UEFA President Michel Platini was the victim of a burglary this morning at his home near Marseille. Platini, hearing noises coming from the garden around 5:30 a.m., woke up to check what was happening, only to see a hooded man running away.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner later discovered that around twenty trophies and medals from his career were missing from a room where he keeps numerous trophies and medals. According to reports, the damage is still being assessed, and the Marseille prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into aggravated burglary.
