Piazza Navona was painted yellow and red to celebrate Roma's 98th anniversary. Thousands of fans gathered last night in the historic square in the center of the capital to celebrate the anniversary of the club's founding on July 22, 1927. Chants, scarves, flags, and smoke bombs accompanied the wait for midnight, in an atmosphere of celebration and passion that also attracted many tourists intrigued by the atmosphere. Traditionally, the procession begins at the Pantheon, but this year the meeting point was set directly in Piazza Navona, near the Fountain of the Four Rivers, and concluded on Via degli Uffici del Vicario, the club's original headquarters. Among the chants were those dedicated to some of the most iconic figures in Roman football, such as Daniele De Rossi and Claudio Ranieri. This is the first anniversary officially recognized by the club, which invited fans to celebrate.
