World Swimming Championships: Bianca Nannucci ready for her debut

Prato, July 27, 2025 - Starting next September, she will train in Virginia, USA. After all, she was born in the United States (in Greenboro, to be precise) to parents from Prato, in 2008. Before then, however, Bianca Nannucci will focus on the World Swimming Championships: the seventeen-year-old swimmer is one of the most interesting newcomers among the squads called up by the national team's technical director, Cesare Butini. She's fresh off gold medals in the 200m freestyle and 4x200m relay at the recent European Junior Championships in Slovakia and aims to gain experience among the "big boys" as well. Bianca will also compete in the same distances (200m and 4x200m freestyle) in Singapore and is expected to make her debut the day after tomorrow at 4:00 a.m. The athlete, registered with Rari Nantes Florentia, is one of the most promising young athletes on the international swimming scene and will be looking to confirm her success in Asia.
