Autumn in Trentino: nature, flavors, and cultural events

Autumn is knocking on Trentino's door, accompanied by the colors and flavors of its vineyards and apple orchards. The light turns golden, the scents and flavors enveloping. Along the countless scenic hikes, you'll find yourself surrounded by landscapes ablaze with the colors of the foliage. And then there are the sounds. Not just those of the Sounds of the Dolomites concerts, but also those of marmots whistling or deer bellowing, the song of a cuckoo, the sound of the wind, or a stone rolling down a scree slope. The sounds keep company as you hike the trails that lead up to the numerous refuges (more than 140 of which are open longer) that welcome you until late October, allowing you to experience and enjoy the beautiful season at high altitude. The legendary Sass Pordoi cable car, which covers a 700-meter elevation gain in just four minutes for a truly spectacular ascent through the rocks, will be open until Sunday, November 2nd . Carezza 's season is also incredibly long, with four lifts open until November 2nd, and the other two until October 19th, offering countless opportunities to experience the mountains, including on your bike. Both the Nova Levante-Malga Frommer cable car, the König Laurin 1, the Tschein chairlift, and the Tires cable car are equipped to transport bikes. And while certain rural traditions and rituals steal the show, food also plays its part with the many initiatives featuring seasonal products.
