90% of people who bought the Switch 2 admit they did so to play Zelda: Wind Waker.

Flooded Hyrule.- In a survey conducted on Nintendo's virtual store, more than 90% of people who already purchased the Switch 2 confessed that they did so solely to play the classic Zelda: Wind Waker again.
“I had already played it on GameCube, then the remake on Wii U, then on an emulator on my laptop… but now I want to play it again to feel like I'm really getting the most out of my Switch 2 ,” explained Memo, who sold his car and bought a cheaper one to be able to afford the new Nintendo console.

“With this Switch I'll be able to play a 2001 Zelda”Although the Switch 2 offers a new Mario Kart and a generous number of titles that were already released for the PlayStation 4, users are fascinated by rediscovering the legendary game from The Legend of Zelda saga, the one that replaced the horse with a little boat and continues to sail with a wind of nostalgia.
"We firmly believe that our fans don't want new games. They want the same games, but with the feeling that they're spending money on something modern," declared the Nintendo CEO, happy to put 2001 games on a 2025 console.

While Wind Waker doesn't look like the remaster that came out for the Wii U, but rather like the pixelated original for the GameCube, it seems that loyal Nintendo fans aren't very demanding and are satisfied with feeling like they have a Switch with "magic"... even if it runs licensed emulators.
“And to think I only had to pay 15,000 pesos to play Zelda: The Boats,” excitedly revealed a man who had lined up two days before to be one of the first to buy the console at a shopping center.
