BJ, Cuauhtémoc, and Miguel Hidalgo have the highest housing demand: experts

In a study presented on the Housing Sales and Rental Index, Benito Juárez, Miguel Hidalgo, and Cuauhtémoc continue to lead property sales.
According to Julio Mendoza , commercial manager of Inmuebles 2 4 , 14.8% of the demand for housing acquisition is absorbed by the municipalities of Benito Juárez, with 13.9% by Miguel Hidalgo and in third place Cuauhtémoc with 13.8% of the total demand.

Other municipalities in Mexico City and the State of Mexico that are in the Top 10 are Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Huixquilucan, Coyoacán, Naucalpan de Juárez, Gustavo A. Madero, and Tlalpan.
Continuing with the relationship between demand and supply, it was also pointed out that the lack of housing in the most crowded areas, or the same housing costs, in the municipalities of Iztacalco, Tláhuac, and Milpa Alta, has exerted greater pressure on demand.

The first two, until July 2025, will have demand exceeding the average by 66% and 65%. Meanwhile, the municipality of Tonatitla, near Felipe Ángeles International Airport, is experiencing 88% less demand, a situation that could change.
Other places where this phenomenon is also observed are Melchor Ocampo, Valle de Chalco Solidaridad, Iztapalapa, Gustavo A Madero, Venustiano Carranza, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, Ecatepec de Morelos, among others.
