Coahuila: More infrastructure for security in the Northern Region is supervised and delivered

GUERRERO.- The governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, supervised and delivered various works in the northern region of the state, with the objective of strengthening surveillance and protection on the borders with other entities . These actions are part of a state project that contemplates an investment of more than 3 billion pesos.
During his working tour, the state leader visited the municipalities of Hidalgo and Guerrero, where he inspected the progress of strategic security facilities that total an investment of nearly 70 million pesos.

These projects include the construction of a security arch on the border between Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, as well as the construction of a military barracks in the Santa Monica ejido, in the municipality of Guerrero.
“ Security is the number one priority for our state. That is why we continue to invest billions of pesos in infrastructure, equipment and training for our security forces,” Jiménez Salinas emphasized.
The governor was accompanied by General Alberto Ibarra Flores, Commander of the XI Military Region; Hugo Gutiérrez Rodríguez, Secretary of Public Security; Federico Fernández Montañez, Attorney General of the State; Sonia Villarreal Pérez, Undersecretary of Government in the Northern region; and Miguel Ángel Algara Acosta, Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Mobility, among other officials.
In Hidalgo, in addition to supervising the barracks under construction for the Military Police, the governor visited the Military Operations Base and various checkpoints strategically located on the La Ribereña highway.
Jiménez Salinas stressed that his administration has allocated significant resources to equipment such as patrol cars, uniforms, technology, training and better working conditions for security personnel.

"These facilities will allow for better operations for the State Police, the Prosecutor's Office and the armed forces, ensuring a more efficient deployment both on roads and in the gaps of this region ," he said.
For his part, General José Luis Cruz Aguilar, Commander of the 47th Military Zone, highlighted the effective coordination between the State Government, the Federation, the municipalities and the Mexican Army, which has contributed to two of the five safest cities in the country being located in Coahuila. He also recognized the state's efforts to strengthen the security infrastructure for the benefit of the population.
With these actions, the Government of Coahuila reaffirms its commitment to maintaining peace and tranquility in the state , providing its inhabitants with safe spaces and greater protection in their daily lives.
