FIFA names Messi as Nations League MVP
Pampa Creíble.- In something that no one saw coming (except everyone), FIFA declared Lionel Messi the Most Valuable Player of the UEFA Nations League… a tournament in which he did not participate, but in which, according to the organizers, he had a notable influence.
The final between Spain and Portugal ended with a victory for the Portuguese, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, who once again missed out on receiving the award for best player, as the selection committee voted for the Argentine to take home the MVP statuette of the tournament.

The award will be presented at a special ceremony during halftime of Inter Miami's upcoming match against the powerful Nashville SC, a match in which Messi is likely to be awarded a pair of penalties to show his continued fitness from the penalty spot.
