Galilea Montijo doubts she'll get along with the new host of Netas Divinas for this reason.

The hosts of Netas Divinas welcomed the arrival of a new member to the program with humor and enthusiasm following the departure of Paola Rojas in September 2024. Through Unicable's YouTube channel, Daniela Magun, Natalia Téllez, Consuelo Duval, and Galilea Montijo shared their first impressions, although without revealing too many details.

Galilea Montijo, who also hosts the Hoy program, joked when asked if the new member would be as much of a party animal as she was: "I hope so, because if not, we won't get along anymore," she replied with a laugh. However, on a more serious note, she said it was a character she "loved."

For her part, Consuelo Duval praised her, stating that "she's amazing" and that her presence will bring "a touch of intelligence and reverence" to the format.

Sofía Niño de Rivera, the new 'neta'

Sofía Niño de Rivera, renowned stand-up comedian, will officially join Netas Divinas on May 7, according to a statement from Unicable. Her arrival follows the departure of journalist Paola Rojas in September, which sparked rumors about a possible radical change in the cast, including the possible inclusion of a man. Finally, the production confirmed that Sofía will be the one to fill the role.

In a recent meeting with the media, Niño de Rivera shared how the opportunity came about: “I was recently invited to the show, and there was a lot of chemistry. I guess they talked to each other afterward and said, 'Sofia would be perfect because she says everything she shouldn't say... cancel her,'” he said, laughing.

He also revealed that, although he didn't meet all the hosts during his initial visit, he immediately connected with most of them: "I clicked with almost all of them, except for Natalia because she wasn't there. I already knew Galilea," he said humorously.

A new stage, new challenges

During her talk with the press, Sofía revealed what excites her most and also what worries her most about joining the popular talk show.

“My dream was always to have female friends. I've always preferred male friends. And when you become a mom, your circle shrinks significantly. I'm happy to make new friends,” she shared candidly.

However, she also acknowledged that she's worried about the media exposure that comes with this new role: "What scares me is being exposed, because now it's going to be more frequent. Everything can be edited, taken out of context. But it's also a positive thing: having a forum to say things that maybe you can't say in other spaces."
