Losses for Tigres and Rayados; Pumas are beaten

With a solitary goal by Brazilian Guilherme Castilho, the Bravos de Juárez surprised everyone last night by winning on the Tigres' field, on matchday nine of the 2025 Clausura Tournament.
The border team emerged victorious after scoring in the 40th minute. Gilherme shot from just outside the area and the ball went in through the left post of Argentine goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán.
In the second half, the Tigres tried to equalize, but were unable to count on the accuracy of shots from Argentine Guido Pizarro, in the 66th minute, from Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac, in the 81st minute, and from Argentine Juan Brunetta, in the 90th minute.
Juárez claimed its third win in the last four games to reach 16 points and place itself in sixth position, awaiting the other results of the midweek match.
Tigres suffered their second consecutive defeat and remain with the same 16 points, but one place higher due to their better goal difference.
Suffering outside the home
Continuing with the out-of-budget results for Monterrey teams, the Rayados del Monterrey fell 1-0 in their visit to Mazatlán.
The goal for the Gunners was scored by Uruguayan Anderson Duarte in the 39th minute.
With this result, the locals reached 11 points and rose to eleventh position overall.
In another result, Tijuana defeated Pumas 4-2, with goals from Kevin Castaneda (1'), Efrain Alvarez (3'), Shamar Nicholson (37') and Jesus Vega (47'). Pussetto (63') and Trigos (91') scored.
