Man arrested for stabbing his partner in the Quintas La Perla neighborhood of Torreón

Early Friday morning, Torreón Municipal Police officers arrested an individual identified as Marcos Amed "N," 37, accused of assaulting his partner with a knife in the Quintas La Perla neighborhood.
The incident occurred around 1:55 a.m., when the C-2 radio room received a distress call reporting a seriously injured woman on the Mediterranean Circuit in the aforementioned residential area.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a 31-year-old woman lying outside the home, with visible injuries and desperately pleading for help.
Medical assistance was immediately requested, and a Mexican Red Cross ambulance, marked 297, arrived at the scene.
Paramedics provided emergency care to the victim and later transported her to Torreón General Hospital for medical evaluation, as she suffered injuries apparently caused by a knife.
According to the victim's testimony, moments before, she had had an argument with her partner, which escalated into physical assault and ultimately a knife attack.
As a result, the officers entered the home with due precautions, finding the alleged assailant in the bathroom, visibly agitated, while the knife was found lying on the floor in the main hallway.
The seized item was a Tramontina brand knife with a black plastic handle and a metal blade approximately 23 centimeters long. It was packaged and made available to the competent authority as evidence.
The detainee was taken to municipal cells and subsequently referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office, who will file a case for domestic violence with serious injuries.
