Obituaries: Marina Basora Pérez

After a brief illness and at the age of 78, Mrs. Marina Basora Pérez passed away yesterday in this city.
She was the daughter of Juan Basora Timoneda, of Spanish origin, and Aida Pérez Briceño. She married Salvador Rodríguez Losa, with whom she had two sons: Jorge Luis and Salvador.
She completed her basic education at Rogers Hall and earned a professional degree in education. She dedicated 40 years to teaching, working in kindergartens in Valladolid and Mérida, as well as at the Federal Teacher Training Institute and Teacher Center No. 1. She served as director of the Higher Education Department at the Ministry of Education and Culture (SEGEY).
The body is being held at the Ethernus Funeral Home until 2:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at noon. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be interred at a place and date to be determined.
