The latest attempt to reach the Gaza Strip comes after the ' Conscience ,' a passenger ship flying the Palauan flag, was attacked with a drone on its bow in May while near Malta .
“The bombing was a deliberate act of aggression and intimidation amid Israel’s 75-day total siege of Gaza: four crew members were injured, the boat was set on fire, communications and the vessel were left adrift and taking on water,” the organization said in a statement, which also accused it of violating international law .
The flotilla indicated that this was not an isolated incident, but rather a form of threat against anyone attempting to circumvent the Israeli blockade that remains in place against the Gaza Strip.
The spokesman said the team is aware of the potential dangers but remains optimistic .

"We are preparing our next vessel, Madleen, named in 2014 after the only female fisherman in Gaza at the time; a symbol of resistance and resilience," the flotilla detailed in its message, assuring them that they will depart "carrying our solidarity with the Palestinians and our cargo of hope."
