Forbes' September 2025 ranking of the world's richest people confirms a trend that has been consolidating in recent years: the concentration of the world's largest fortunes around technology and, to a lesser extent, luxury.
Among the top ten, nine are Americans and only one (Frenchman Bernard Arnault) comes from outside the United States, reflecting the weight that Silicon Valley and Wall Street exert on global wealth creation .

Together, these ten individuals have accumulated more than $2.13 trillion, just 1% more than in August , which shows both the maturity of their empires and the volatility that still affects sectors such as artificial intelligence, digital commerce, and luxury.
