MEXICO CITY.— This Monday, the US currency started the day with losses, being offered in international markets at 18.6463 pesos per dollar wholesale , according to the financial platform Investing .
At the start of trading in the foreign exchange market , the dollar fell 0.28%, or 0.0518 units.
The dollar closed Friday at 18.698 pesos per dollar and opened today at 18.702 pesos per dollar, representing an annual variation of -6.25%.
This Monday, September 8, 2025, the price of the dollar in Mexico opened the retail day with a maximum selling price of 19.802 pesos per dollar .
According to information from various banking institutions, at the opening, the US dollar is selling for up to 19.802 pesos at Bank of America branches, while the maximum purchase price is 18.0308 pesos at BX+ bank counters.

At purchase, the lowest price is 17.50 pesos per dollar offered by Banorte bank, and the highest is 18.0308 pesos per dollar offered by BX+ bank.

For its part, the Bank of Mexico announced the exchange rate for debt obligations denominated in US dollars, payable in the Mexican Republic, which it set at 18.6792 pesos per dollar.
Meanwhile, the 48-hour interbank rate was set at 18.7143.
According to The Economy Forecast Agency, the dollar's exchange rate fell by -0.32% last Friday compared to the previous day.
For Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the agency sets a maximum purchase price of 18,390 pesos per dollar, while its sales forecast is up to 18,950 pesos per dollar.
