France strengthens business and labor ties with Mexico

French companies in Mexico reiterate their commitment to sustainable bilateral economic development. “French companies have never invested more than in recent years.” Although these investments tend to be modest, they have a solid focus. “We prioritize jobs with social security, competitive salaries, and international reach,” said David Ribot, Vice President of Geographic Expansion for the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the second edition of France Recruits , held in Mexico City, he reiterated his commitment to the country's capital, where 70% of the 700 French companies located in Mexico operate, although there is a clear interest in expanding to other regions of the country. "There are many companies that do not have headquarters here due to the nature of their activities; they are in the north, Querétaro, Guadalajara, or Veracruz."

  • Laurent Saint-Martin, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Citizens Abroad.

Therefore, this year, the job fair, in addition to Mexico City, Querétaro, and Monterrey will have headquarters in San Luis Potosí . This expansion responds to the growing presence of French companies in the region, mainly in the automotive, services, and technology sectors.

"We launched in Monterrey a couple of weeks ago with more than 3,000 attendees, a figure we hope to match in Mexico City, where 2,000 attendees were registered during the first edition in 2024."

ManpowerGroup, Capgemini, L'Oreal, Up Sí vale, Sodexo, Expertise France Groupe AFD, Airbus, Richemont, Axa, Bic, SGF Global, France Alumni, Campus France, Galia, AMATI, Ampely and Amarante are some of the sponsoring companies of the 2025 edition of France Recruits in Mexico and that will be represented at the event, to generate job placement opportunities.

“French companies generate direct and indirect jobs in our city, with important implications for economic development. I want to emphasize that work is not a concession; it's a human right: it must be dignified, formal, with a remunerative salary, social security, and free from discrimination. There is no better social program than a well-paid job with guaranteed rights,” said Inés González, Secretary of Labor of Mexico City.

"The more than 600 companies affiliated with the Franco-Mexican Chamber are seeking professionals trained in Mexican institutions. The Ministry of Economy is ready to support these employment placement processes, in line with the Mexico Plan promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum," explained Soledad López Acosta, head of the Administration and Finance Unit of the Ministry of Economy, during her speech.
