MEXICO CITY.— This Monday, the US currency started the day with gains, being offered in international markets at 19.6061 pesos per dollar wholesale , according to the financial platform Investing .

At the start of trading today in the foreign exchange market , the dollar gained 0.20%, or 0.0391 units.

The dollar closed Friday at 19.566 pesos per dollar and opened today at 19.572 pesos per dollar, representing an annual variation of 15.56%.

This Monday, May 5, 2025, the price of the dollar in Mexico opened the retail day with a maximum selling price of 20.7039 pesos per dollar .

According to information from various banking institutions, at the opening, the US dollar is selling for up to 20.7039 pesos at Bank of America branches, while the maximum purchase price is 19.20 pesos at Inbursa branches.

Below is the list of retail prices, for purchase and sale, at bank branches:

At purchase, the lowest price is 17.90 pesos per dollar offered by Banorte bank, and the highest is 19.20 pesos per dollar offered by Inbursa bank.

For sale, the lowest price is 19.87 pesos per dollar offered at BBVA Bank branches and the highest is 20.7039 pesos per dollar offered by Bank of America.— (With information from: eldolar.info ).

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization reached $2.92 trillion this morning, a 1.26% decrease compared to the previous day of trading.

In the last 24 hours, a total volume of $59.39 trillion has been traded on the market, representing an increase of 20.14%.

On the other hand, the total volume of stablecoins currently stands at $54.89 trillion, which is 92.43% of the total volume recorded in the crypto market over the past 24 hours.

At the opening of today's trading session, Bitcoin was trading at $93,723.43, a 1.75% decline over the past 24 hours.

The Ethereum cryptocurrency was trading at $1,798.61, a loss of 1.48% over the past 24 hours.

For its part, the Bank of Mexico announced the exchange rate for debt payments denominated in US dollars, payable in Mexico, which it set at 19.6570 pesos per dollar.

Meanwhile, the 48-hour interbank rate was set at 19.5985.

According to The Economy Forecast Agency, the dollar's exchange rate fell 0.03% last Friday compared to the previous day.

For Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the agency sets a maximum purchase price of 19.263 pesos per dollar, while its sales forecast is up to 19.849 pesos per dollar.
