Sogarpo grew by more than 50% in 2024 in the amount of guarantees granted and investment generated

Growth linked to the territory, commitment to financing SMEs and self-employed workers, adaptation to market conditions and rigor in guarantee and risk coverage define Sogarpo's operations for another year , which remains faithful to its responsive management model and connected to the needs of the business sector.

The Galician Reciprocal Guarantee Society explains that last year saw an increase in investment in companies and, consequently, in the demand for guarantees to obtain financing. Thus, the SGR closed with a growth of over 50% in the amount of guarantees granted, in investment generated and, especially, in the number of jobs consolidated.

The 883 guarantees granted by Sogarpo reached 656 companies and managed to create or maintain 8,294 jobs, which represents 2,816 more - 51.4% increase - than in 2023. In this sense, the president of SGR, Artur Yuste, highlights "that the figures that truly matter are those of employment and companies" which is why in 2024 they made a full social contribution, with 119 beneficiaries of an increase (22.2%) and with nearly 3,000 families with at least one consolidated job through their financial intermediation.

In addition, in 2024 the company injected financing amounting to 69.9 million, with an increase of 51.7% compared to 2023. The induced investment rose to 86.8 million (increase of 50.5%), which allowed the execution of expansion and business growth plans, R&D&I operations, foreign trade, process improvement, staff increases, working capital injections or digitalization and sustainability projects, among others.

The greater coverage and extension of the Igape Lines , which placed Galicia among the communities with the best accessibility to business financing, channeled 462 Sogarpo guarantees to 343 companies and supported almost three quarters of the total amount guaranteed and the investment generated throughout the year, as well as nearly half of the consolidated employment.

At the end of 2024, the Galician SGR had a volume of active financing (current portfolio) of over 192.5 million euros, having grown by 16.1% in the last year, and induced investment exceeded 310 million (an 8.6% increase). A total of 2,407 companies have a current guarantee with Sogarpo, a company that is thus contributing to the maintenance of 23,528 jobs in Galicia.
