The 10 most consumed beers in the world revealed: a surprise ranking

A report by Kantar, an international data and marketing firm, surprised the world with its list of the most valuable beers. The vast majority are from the Americas.
A new ranking by Kantar has revealed the "ten most valuable beers in the world" in 2025. The report's results caused a stir and sparked controversy among consumers over the brands left out and the surprising, but expected, top spot on the list.
Among the top five, only one is European, while the others are native to the Americas . Mexico and the United States are positioned as the strongest markets, followed by Brazil, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Ireland. The vast majority are located in Argentina, and the top spot has gained significant popularity recently.
Mexican Corona took first place. According to Kantar, it achieved double-digit growth outside of Mexico and saw a triple-digit increase in sales of its alcohol-free version , Corona Cero. Furthermore, this year marks its centennial, which adds symbolic weight to its global performance.

Budweiser from the United States is in second place, while Heineken from the Netherlands is in third. Modelo , also from Mexico, is in fourth place, and Michelob Ultra , another American brand, is in fifth.
In sixth place is Brahma , a Brazilian beer , followed by Bud Light , the lighter version of Budweiser . The ranking continues with Skol , an international brand; the Belgian Stella Artois ; and finally Guinness , the traditional Irish beer known for its dark beer.
