The DGT spends 3.1 million euros on renewing the clothing of Civil Guard motorcyclists.

The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) will invest 3.1 million euros to supply new motorcycle uniforms for the personnel of the Civil Guard's Traffic Unit.
Traffic tendered this service in July of last year , and the administrative process has recently been completed.
This is a joint package with the following minimum units : 3,700 jackets and 5,000 trousers (lot 1), 3,300 waterproof jackets and 2,000 waterproof trousers (lot 2), 2,000 winter gloves (lot 3) and 7,000 thermal undershirts and 1,420 thermal underpants (lot 4).
Last March , Lot 3 was awarded to City Moto for €84,167.60, and Lot 4 to Manufacturas Aura for €435,491.58, according to a contract formalization notice published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and reported by Servimedia.
In May, it awarded lots 1 (1,810,887.21 euros) and 2 (783,211.22 euros) to Fábrica Española de Confecciones.
This totals €3,113,757.61 to renew the equipment of the Civil Guard's Traffic Group motorcyclists, who monitor and control the roads.
As for outerwear , it provides protection against risks arising from a motorcycle accident, such as impact and abrasion with the ground surface, impacts with the motorcycle itself, and collisions with other vehicles and objects.
Generally, these garments consist of two pieces : an upper part, which provides protective coverage to the upper body area, including the arms, and a lower part of the body that generally protects up to the ankles, with a joining system that joins both pieces together creating a single garment.
