Art and Culture: Dance Month

This Dance Month, the General Directorate of Fine Arts and the National Contemporary Dance Company (CNDC) bring back to the stage one of their most acclaimed productions: Link.
The event is this Saturday, April 26th, at 8:30 pm, in the Máximo Avilés Blonda Hall of the Palacio de Bellas Artes . Best of all: admission is completely free, and if you already had tickets, don't worry, they're still valid for this new performance.
With choreographic direction by Dayme del Toro (dancer and creator with more than 15 years of experience in contemporary dance ), original music by Isaac Hernández and the artistic direction of maestro Edmundo Poy, Link proposes an emotional and powerful experience to this proposal, which had already premiered in 2022 with the National School of Dance , offering viewers a reflective look at behavioral patterns and the importance of interpersonal relationships.
On stage, we'll see a talented cast: Jonás Padilla, Mildred Rubirosa, Erick Roque, Wileydy Contreras, Wilma Lluberes, and Joel Rodríguez, along with guest artists María Emilia García Portela and Ángel Pascual.
But " Link " isn't just a performance: it's an invitation to look inward. It's a mirror in which many can see themselves reflected. It's art that embraces, questions, and transforms.
The work honestly and sensitively explores family relationships and the dynamics of the home, that space where everything (the good, the complex, and the emotional) is intertwined.
Through body language and intense choreography, she connects us with the bonds that define our lives and how these are projected outward, toward the world.
A perfect option for those who love art that touches the heartstrings and leaves a lasting impression. So if you're looking for a cultural experience that goes beyond the spectacle, this is a must-see.
This April, dance is not just celebrated ... it's lived.

In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the April 1965 Revolution , the National Archives (AGN) and the Commemorative Commission revive the fighting spirit of the Dominican people during those decisive days with this photographic exhibition. It features powerful photographs of the most intense moments of the conflict, as well as a moving tribute to key figures such as Colonel Francisco Alberto Caamaño.
