Bad Bunny breaks record in Mexico with eight sold-out dates

Bad Bunny exceeded all expectations just days after announcing eight concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City and broke the ticket sales record on the Ticketmaster platform.
Since May 12, when the Puerto Rican artist announced just two dates , more than 2.2 million people have accessed the Ticketmaster Mexico portal, the ticketing company said in a statement.
This generated a demand for more than 7.5 million tickets , more than 15 times the supply available to date, despite the six new dates confirmed throughout the week, for a total of eight performances.
According to Ticketmaster , to meet this extraordinary demand, the Puerto Rican artist would have needed to offer at least 123 dates at the Mexico City venue, an unprecedented number for a single artist at this stadium.
"Just days after announcing his visit to Mexico , Bad Bunny has already made history in the country. Ticket sales for his eight concerts at the iconic GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City sparked a demand that exceeded all expectations and made clear the magnitude of the phenomenon that is the Puerto Rican singer," the ticketing company acknowledged.
Company data shows that during the sales process, more than 1.2 million unique fans formed a virtual queue to secure their tickets, with an average of 3.4 tickets purchased per order.
All tickets were purchased digitally through SafeTix , Ticketmaster 's security technology that aims to reduce ticket resale and ensure ticket authenticity.
"If those 1.2 million people had lined up physically, it would stretch from Mexico City to Guadalajara ," in the state of Jalisco, in the Bajío region of Mexico.
- Ticketmaster also shared the profile of attendees : 66% of buyers were women, and 34% were between 18 and 24 years old, followed by 30% in the 25-34 age range.
