Natti Natasha dedicates award to victims of the Jet Set at Billboard gala

Dominican singer Natti Natasha was honored Thursday night with the Unstoppable Artist Award at the 2025 Billboard Latin Women in Music gala.
The award was presented by fellow Dominican artist Eddy Herrera and dedicated to the Dominican Republic and especially to the victims of the Jet Set nightclub tragedy on April 8, where 232 people died.
“Thank you for allowing me to be here, alive and present. Thank you to my land for giving me passion and flavor,” she said upon receiving her award, dressed in an oversized white ensemble.
"I want to dedicate this award to the souls who are no longer with us, people who were simply celebrating life. This moment belongs to you too. To show that a woman can sing to the whole world," she added, referring to the recent tragedy at the Jet Set club when the ceiling collapsed while merengue singer Rubby Pérez was performing, resulting in his death.
Then, the interpreter of "Desde hoy" thanked Don Omar, Becky G, Bad Bunny and many more artists who have marked her career, as well as her husband, producer Raphy Pina and her daughter, Vida Isabelle.
Natti walked the red carpet alongside Pina in a sexy, low-cut, earth-toned dress and performed the song "Vendaje" from her new album " Natti Natasha en amargue," produced by Romeo Santos .
Acknowledgments“Being recognized as 'Unstoppable' makes me think of everything I've been through, every obstacle I've had to overcome, every tear, every sacrifice, every time I've had to be strong even when I'm breaking down inside. For me, being unstoppable is loving what you do with all your heart, it's getting up a thousand times even when the world tells you you can't. It's being a woman , it's being a mother, it's being a Latina with pride and strength,” she added in a recent interview.
- Brazilian singer Anitta received the Vanguardista Award, presented to her by Dominican urban artist Yailin la más Viral , in her first time at the event.
"I think we artists are in this position with so many people watching us, not just to entertain, but to change society. We have thousands of people watching us, and the importance of having an award like this [is immense]. We would like to see more men supporting us so that society changes; not only women should support the cause, but men too," highlighted the so-called " Queen of Funk " of Brazil.
Billboard Latin Women in Music was hosted by 2024 honoree Ana Bárbara and broadcast live exclusively on Telemundo and Telemundo Internacional.
The 2025 honorees also include Selena Gomez as Woman of the Year , as well as Belinda (Evolución Award), Chiquis (Impact Award), Ha*Ash (Inquebrantable Award), and Celia Cruz, who on the centennial of her birth is posthumously recognized with the Leyenda Award and a new Billboard Español cover story.
