Ábalos files a complaint over the audit commissioned by Puente regarding the Transport mask contracts.

Former Transport Minister José Luis Ábalos has filed a complaint for alleged crimes of document falsification and false expert testimony against those he accuses of conducting the audit commissioned by his successor, Óscar Puente, on the awarding of contracts for the procurement of medical supplies during the pandemic, investigated in the Koldo case.
The complaint has been filed in the Madrid courts against Belén Villar, whom it identifies as the current Director General of Organization and Inspection of the Ministry of Transport, "who is responsible for and under whose direction the aforementioned audit is being carried out," as well as against the expert who prepared and signed it.
As Ábalos himself explained on the social network X, it refers to the "report resulting from August 19, 2024, in relation to the files for the acquisition and distribution of masks in 2020 by the Ministry of Transport."
Ábalos indicated that he took this step following "subsequent statements and declarations in court (both in the National Court and the Supreme Court) by officials and senior officials of the Ministry of Transport and Post Office at the time, which contradict the contents of the ministerial report."
However, he also alludes to the expert report commissioned by his defense to attack the audit commissioned by Puente, recalling that it revealed "a series of irregularities."
