Former President Cristina Kirchner received human rights leaders at her home in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Constitución on Monday, offering their support following the recent confirmation of her conviction in the Vialidad case. Among those present were members of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo , HIJOS , and the Argentine League for Human Rights .

One of the first to arrive was Taty Almeida , who arrived around 3:45 p.m. On the street, activists greeted her with applause and chants. " Mothers of the Plaza, the people embrace you! " they chanted in front of Cristina's home, located at San José 1111.
" It's very serious and unfair, totally reprehensible. But they won't defeat her ," Almeida stated upon leaving, speaking to Noticias Argentinas. Vera Jarach , another long-time leader of the organizations, also participated in the meeting.

Earlier, the former president had also received her son, Congressman Máximo Kirchner , along with the mayor of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza , and the Minister of Justice of Buenos Aires Province, Juan Martín Mena . They all came to show their support for the court's decision banning her from holding public office for life.
Since last week, activists from various groups have been holding vigil outside her house. At the same time, the news of the ruling generated a series of political gestures in support of Cristina within the Unión por la Patria movement .
This Wednesday, starting at 10:00 a.m., the Peronist party will march from the former president's home to the Comodoro Py courthouse, where she will be formally notified of her six-year prison sentence for fraudulent administration. The mobilization, which has already been confirmed, aims to serve as a show of force.
The event was organized by the various internal factions of the PJ party , who met at the headquarters on Matheu Street to define the logistics. The goal will be to show unity in the face of what they consider a judicial attack against the leader of the sector.
The first step in that direction was taken last week, when the Justicialist Party's National Council met with leaders such as Sergio Massa , Juan Grabois , and Guillermo Moreno . They all agreed on the need to regroup.
Governor Axel Kicillof did not attend that meeting, although those close to the former president explained that there would be a subsequent meeting with the provincial leaders of the Unión por la Patria party . Therefore, his absence did not raise any suspicions.
The march will be key to measuring Kirchnerism's mobilization capacity in a context of growing institutional tension. For human rights organizations , what happened to Cristina represents a warning sign. For Peronists, it's a moment to close ranks and defend someone they consider the victim of an unjust conviction.
