Gerardo Milman will sue Florencia Carignano for accusations linked to the assassination attempt on Cristina Kirchner's life.

National Representative Gerardo Milman (PRO) announced this Monday that he will promote legal and institutional measures against his counterpart from the Unión por la Patria party, Florencia Carignano , following the latter's statements in the last session of the Chamber of Deputies . The leader accused him of involvement in the attempted assassination of former President Cristina Kirchner and described him as "doped" by drugs.
During her speech in the lower house, Carignano launched a series of insults at Milman. "I'm glad that, within the framework of democracy, you haven't triggered us," stated the Kirchnerist legislator, who also accused him of hiring "cats" as advisors in Congress. These statements infuriated the PRO legislator, who, however, assured that he will take measures cautiously and through the appropriate channels.
For his part, Gerardo Milman called the accusations unfounded and asserted that they stem from the clashes he has had with Vice President Cristina Kirchner over parliamentary and judicial matters. "They tried to involve me in the attack case from the very beginning. The problem with mythomaniacs is that they lie so much that they end up believing their own lies, and that is the case with Carignano."
Regarding the "doping" comment the Peronist leader made against the PRO legislator, he mocked it and took aim at her for such remarks: "I didn't know there was a rule requiring me to share my medical history with Representative Carignano," the official said in statements shared by NA.
The PRO legislator announced that he is evaluating, together with the Chamber authorities and his lawyers, legal and institutional action against Carignano. According to Gerardo Milman, the representative's comments violate the standards of respect and ethics that should govern representatives of the people. "The legislator's lack of decorum is a concrete violation of the ethics of Congress," he stated, calling Carignano "excited and impertinent."
He also maintained that "there are legal and institutional remedies to correct and sanction this type of conduct," which will be promoted in the coming days with the goal of "repairing the damage done" to his reputation and that of other deputies mentioned in Carignano's remarks.
