Milei's surprise victory in almost the entire country and La Libertad Avanza fights for the Province of Buenos Aires.

Javier Milei achieved an important national victory this Sunday in his first electoral test as President of the Nation. In the elections to renew half of the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the Senate, the candidates of La Libertad Avanza garnered 40.84% of the vote, defeating the candidates from Fuerza Patria and its allies. And the big surprise occurred in the province of Buenos Aires , where Peronism had obtained more than 13 points last month in the renewal of the local Legislature and today the numbers show almost parity.
La Libertad Avanza also won in the country's other most important districts . The Libertarians won in the Federal Capital, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Mendoza, and Entre Ríos. Victories in these and other provinces would leave the ruling party with a bloc of 93 representatives and more than twenty PRO allies , who joined the violet lists in almost every district. This ruling party will need the support of about 15 representatives to reach the quorum necessary to open a session and pass laws.
In the Senate, La Libertad Avanza could end up with a bloc of 19 senators , and Kirchnerism will lose a large portion of its senators.
The President arrived at the LLA bunker at the Libertador Hotel in the mid-afternoon and began preparing his speech , in which he will call for political dialogue.
At the presentation of the official results, Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos celebrated the success of the Single Paper Ballot. "Voter turnout was 67%," Francos said. This figure is low in historical terms and the lowest since the return of democracy for national elections.
