Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo has responded to accusations about the violent protests in Los Angeles. She denied having encouraged the demonstrations, contradicting a U.S. security secretary, and defending Mexican workers.

The issue arose after U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem accused the Mexican president of inciting violent protests in Los Angeles.

In response to this accusation, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo used social media to clarify the situation. She stated that the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security's statement was "absolutely false."

“A few moments ago, in response to a question from a media outlet, the United States Secretary of Homeland Security mistakenly stated that I encouraged violent protests in Los Angeles. I inform you that this is absolutely false,” the president wrote.

In the same context, Sheinbaum Pardo reiterated Mexico's position of continuing to defend "honest, hardworking Mexicans who contribute to the United States economy, as well as their families."

The president expressed confidence that dialogue and respect are "the best path to understanding between our peoples and our nations" and that this "misunderstanding will be cleared up."

The Chief Executive complemented her statement with a video in which she expressed her disagreement with the violent protests that recently occurred in Los Angeles. She emphasized that:

The burning of patrol cars seems "more like an act of provocation than resistance."

"It must be clear that we condemn violence , wherever it comes from."

The Mexican community was called upon to "act peacefully and not give in to provocations."

President Sheinbaum Pardo maintained her stance in defense of Mexicans in the United States, categorically denying the accusation of inciting violent protests and condemning the acts of violence that occurred in Los Angeles.
