The PRO representative and candidate for Buenos Aires City legislator said she felt "enormous frustration" and took aim at President Javier Milei : "He promised that corrupt officials would be excluded from Congress. He didn't keep his promise. It was a huge disappointment."

The legislator believes the ruling party did nothing to ensure that the bill, already approved by the House of Representatives, would advance in the Upper House. She also spoke of a " pact of impunity " that, she claimed, favors figures like Cristina Kirchner .

Silvia Lospennato recalled that ruling party Senator Ezequiel Atauche and Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos had assured them that the votes were there. "After the law was defeated, there wasn't a single criticism of the senators who let it be defeated," she said. She also cited statements by Carlos Rovira, who asserted that the call to halt the vote came from the President himself.
