The fight at the top of the libertarian movement continues: another gesture from Karina Milei to Pareja and more barbs from the Forces of Heaven

While those around Karina Milei anticipate that the harsh message the LLA leader delivered against Twitter users who respond to Santiago Caputo will ultimately calm the tension that led to the closing of the lists in the Province, the attacks from the Karina group continued this Thursday: an audio recording of Sebastián Pareja was leaked on social media in which he speaks of an agreement with Sergio Massa 's faction for the 2023 campaign.
In an alleged WhatsApp audio , Pareja admits in the first person that there was a "line from above" to respect an agreement with Malena Galmarini in Tigre , who would have asked that the first on the list of candidates for the local Deliberative Council be Juan José Cervetto, who at that time was close to the Renovador Front.
Has the “Iron Triangle” been broken?
“Malena (Galmarini)'s only request here is for Cervetto to be appointed as first or second councilor. That's what we have to resolve. Once that's resolved, we'll resolve everything,” Pareja reportedly told his interlocutor, whose identity remains unknown. He added: “It's an agreement that there's no way we can renege on. I'm not discussing whether we agree or not. It's a directive from above that must be honored.”
Since the weekend, the head of the Buenos Aires LLA himself has been the target of attacks from libertarian activists . This Wednesday, the official had told several media outlets that questioning the ruling party's candidates for the September 7 elections is "questioning President" Javier Milei . The same message was later echoed by Karina herself , who demanded that the dissident Twitter users—who were relegated on the Buenos Aires lists—believe that "loyalty is a condition" for remaining in the coalition she leads with her brother.
Following the release of the controversial audio recordings, which La Nación had revealed in 2023, Pareja posed for a photo with Karina at the LLA headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Avenida de Mayo , at a meeting also attended by the host, Pilar Ramírez, and her "little sister" Romina Diez, the Karina delegate in Santa Fe. "We met to ratify the course set by our President, considering the principles of liberalism," tweeted the official, who is the victim of frequent attacks from the "Traductor" account, run by Esteban Glavinich from Rosario, among others, on Thursday afternoon.
For some leaders who supported the Milei brothers, the internal conflict has already ended with Karina's statement on Wednesday, but many Twitter users who are part of the digital infantry "are inorganic," meaning they wouldn't respond to the party's orders. "There's no such thing as an internal conflict. It's Javo, Javo, Javo," was the particular reflection of some of the highest-profile Twitter users when asked by this newspaper.
The ulterior motive of the leaders orbiting Caputo is to reference the President as the leader and eventual arbiter of the dispute between Karina and the presidential advisor. This Thursday, provincial deputy Agustín Romo , another of the organizers of the Mileísta digital infantry, visited the Martín Fierro Hall. The presidential advisor visited the offices of the former Ministry of the Interior, where he met with the chief of staff, Guillermo Francos, the "tight-footed walker" they are now turning to to address the cracks in the "iron triangle."
Those close to Karina, meanwhile, maintain that her message was clear and left no room for doubt: one cannot continue to undermine the LLA candidates and remain libertarian, because that would be a blatantly obvious "contradiction." However, they did not rule out continued attacks against candidates blessed by the trio formed by the Martín and Lule Menem cousins, and Pareja himself.
The secretary general of the presidency had to intervene on Wednesday in response to the deepening internal conflict. "We're not here to speculate. We're here to defend the president's ideas tooth and nail. And in that battle, loyalty isn't an option: it's a condition," the president's sister stated on her social media profile.
And he reiterated the same idea that Sebastián Pareja, president of La Libertad Avanza in Buenos Aires, had raised this Wednesday morning: "Whoever questions those who carry that flag is not criticizing an armed group; they are questioning the President himself and the cause that brought us here."
