The Generalitat informs the judge that Mazón was not at Cecopi when the alert was launched
The president of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, had not arrived at the Integrated Operational Coordination Centre (Cecopi) at the time the alert about the dana was sent to the population at 8:11 p.m. on October 29, according to the response that the Consell has sent to the request of the judge investigating the case and to which Efe has had access.

In the response from the Consell to the request of the head of the number 3 catarroja court, which is investigating the case on the management of the 29 October flood, the Generalitat indicates that the only authorities who had access to Cecopi from 4 pm to 8:11 pm were the president of the Provincial Council, Vicent Mompó, and the deputy for the Environment, Risk Prevention and Rural Development, Avelino Mascarell.

The judge had specifically asked the Consell to report “in a concise manner whether any other authority attended Cecopi prior to the issuance of the aforementioned alert message” and “was involved in it.”
The Generalitat bases its response on recordings from the security cameras in the building where Cecopi meetings are held.
