The Government increases the pressure against Mazón: “We cannot tolerate more lies”

The latest version given to date by the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, about the time he arrived at Cecopi on the day of the attack, has provoked an angry reaction from the central government demanding “his resignation once and for all” arguing that “they cannot tolerate any more lies”.

In this regard, the leader of the Valencian socialists and Minister of Science, Diana Morant, has focused on the fact that Mazón “did not answer that day the calls of the then vice president of Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, claiming that she was out of coverage at a Cecopi where she now says she was not”. “And what I am saying is that we cannot stand any more lies. “The people of Valencia cannot stand the president of the Generalitat and every time he goes out they remind him of this. They cannot bear the pain of what has happened and the pain of seeing their top official lie to them day after day. That is why we have defended from day one that it is Mr Feijóo who has to remove Mr Mazón.”

Similarly, the Minister of Culture and spokesperson for Sumar, Ernest Urtasun, has demanded the “immediate resignation” of the president of the Generalitat Valenciana while calling for “responsibility” from the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, for “covering up for a compulsive liar and an irresponsible person who should have resigned weeks ago.”
