Cybersecurity acquisition. Transaction value: $25 billion

The American company Palo Alto Networks has made an offer to shareholders of the Israeli company CyberArk Software to purchase 100 percent of its shares and delist them from public trading.
The transaction will be settled in cash and Palo Alto shares. CyberArk Software is currently valued at $25 billion, representing a 29% premium over yesterday's price.
Following the merger, a new entity will be created that will offer comprehensive cybersecurity services using artificial intelligence.
The development of artificial intelligence and the rapid growth of machine identities have clearly demonstrated that the future of security must be based on a vision, that it is necessary to control the level of access rights to the system, says Palo Alto CEO Nikesh Aror.
Palo Alto offers physical and virtual firewalls, the WildFire cloud service, and the integrated Panorama network security management platform.
Meanwhile, CyberArk specializes in securing privileged accounts and counteracting ransomware attacks, which block access to a computer system or prevent reading data stored in the system.
Removing the block is most often associated with a request to pay a fee to the hackers. This also applies to digital identities, which are often used interchangeably with physical and digital identifiers.
