Google launches Storybook on Gemini: how to create children's stories in minutes

Google has added Storybook , a new feature to its Gemini assistant that lets you create personalized, animated stories from simple descriptions, photos, or even files.
This tool, designed for children, offers the ability to generate picture books of up to 10 pages with voice-over narration and a visual style of the user's choice. Parents simply need to write the main idea of the story, and Gemini will automatically illustrate it.
Available styles range from comics to claymation, allowing the content to be tailored to the child's taste. In addition to being entertaining, Storybook aims to be an educational tool , useful for explaining complex topics visually and transforming memories into animated stories that can be preserved and shared.
The feature is now available on the Gemini web version and mobile app, in all languages supported by the assistant. This means that for this back-to-school season, families can take advantage of the tool to create fun and educational personalized materials.
1. Start the conversation and define your story Tell Gemini that you want a “Storybook” and specify:
- Reader's age
