How to remove ads on a Xiaomi phone in three simple steps

In recent years, the Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has managed to position itself as one of the most important and popular companies in the sector. Thanks to offering affordable devices with very advanced features, they have placed at the top alongside Apple and Samsung.

There's little to criticize these phones for, as they offer very good features, and in many cases, better than their competitors without the high price tag. However, if there's a "but" to be found, it's the constant presence of intrusive ads on their devices.

And they often include various forms of advertising in the system's own apps and their customization layers, something that ends up affecting the user experience and generally ends up being a punishment for anyone who decides to buy a phone from that brand.

Luckily, there's a way to remove most of them, and today we'll show you how to do it step by step.

If you have a Xiaomi smartphone, regardless of the model or operating system, what you have to do is:

Step 1

1. Go to the device menu.
2. Look for the Security Services option.
3. Go in and turn off the feature.

Step 2

1. In Settings, go to Fingerprints, face data, and screen lock.
2. Click on Authorization and Cancellation.
3. Disables the System Daemon feature.
4. Click on revoke.

Step 3

1. Go to Settings and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Go to Privacy Controls.
3. Look for the Ads option.
4. Go to Reset Advertising ID and confirm the message that appears.

Once you've done all this on your Xiaomi phone , you'll have mostly eliminated the main ads when you open any of the pre-installed apps.
