Chivas will participate in the Copa Morelos in June.
As part of the preseason matches for the 2025 Apertura Tournament, Chivas will participate in the Copa Morelos , a quadrangular that will be played at the Agustín “Coruco” Díaz stadium from June 20 to 22, with the participation of Atlante , Cruz Azul and León .
“Copa Morelos, the tournament that unites us” is the name of the quadrangular tournament, where the governor of Morelos, Margarita González Saravia, and the president of Atlante, Emilio Escalante, will seek to bring two of the greatest Mexican soccer teams to Zacatepec .
"Fulfilling our promise to bring great soccer to Morelos, we want to announce the holding of a quadrangular tournament that will be historic because it will be the first time that this state will bring together, in a single event and setting, teams with such a long history and standing in Mexican soccer," said Escalante Méndez.
The tournament will be held from June 20 to 22 at the Agustín “Coruco” Díaz stadium , where the red and white team will face Atlante, Cruz Azul and León as part of the preliminary work for the start of the next Liga MX campaign.
The competition format for the "Copa Morelos" will consist of two matches per day, starting Friday, June 20. The winners of each matchday will advance to the grand final.
The final will then take place on Sunday, June 22 , with the losers battling it out for third place.
