David Faitelson takes a stand following the arrest of Julio César Chávez Jr.

"For this administration, all migrants are criminals," wrote David Faitelson regarding the arrest of Julio César Chávez Jr. by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The journalist reacted to "Junior's" capture on his social media accounts , as is his custom. The first of his messages was directed at Mexican boxing legend Julio César Chávez.

"I feel so sorry for Julio César Chávez… He's his son, and he must be suffering because of this. The truth is, he's being accused of something that goes beyond boxing. I have nothing more to say…" wrote the TUDN commentator, who, contrary to his own words, delved further into the matter.

Faitelson considered the context of the United States, where a genuine migrant hunt is underway in cities with a high population of Mexicans, particularly. David, who lived in Los Angeles for many years, maintained Chávez Jr.'s innocence until proven otherwise .

"Linking Julio César Chávez Junior to organized crime is a very serious accusation and could be a lie... Remember that, for this government, all immigrants are criminals... Chávez's son has had many problems in life, but he is not a criminal..." he posted on his X account.

The legend's son fought just this weekend in Anaheim, California, against Jake Paul. Faitelson 's surprise comes after U.S. authorities linked Chávez Jr. to the Sinaloa Cartel and had reportedly been searching for him for days, but they allowed him to fight.

"I'd like to understand this: On Saturday, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fought in a packed Anaheim Arena against a YouTuber with millions of followers, and five days later he's a wanted criminal in both countries…" he concluded.
