José Hernández ends his career as an Atlas footballer

Atlas goalkeeper José Hernández will no longer be part of the team. The Zorros' management made his departure from the red-and-black team official.
In a press release issued on social media, the board announced the departure of the player who came through the Atlas youth system .
"José Hernández concludes his time as Atlas FC's goalkeeper, after a career that began in our Youth Team and continued in the First Division with his debut in the top flight in 2018."
“During his career with the Zorros, José demonstrated commitment and passion, contributing to the history of the Mexican Football Academy,” the club reported.
With a lack of playing time and Camilo Vargas in charge of the goal, Atlas's sporting director has determined that the goalkeeper will seek opportunities elsewhere , as part of the team's restructuring in preparation for the 2025 Clausura Tournament.
Hernández arrived at Atlas in 2008, when he was 11 years old , as part of the so-called Aztec Generation, after a long process in youth teams and minor national teams.
