River Plate shone in front of its fans, thrashing Barracas Central and reaching the quarterfinals of the Apertura Tournament.

River Plate had no problems and eliminated Barracas Central in the round of 16 of the Apertura Tournament. El Millonario won 3-0 at the Monumental and will face Platense in the next round, who are fresh off a stunning upset against Racing in Avellaneda.

El Millonario dominated from the start against a visiting team that waited in the wings for a chance to attack quickly and was left without arguments with the early opening score.

In the 11th minute, a set piece by Kevin Castaño was headed in by Gonzalo Montiel, Paulo Díaz controlled the ball in the box and finished with a volley worthy of a center forward to make it 1-0 for Millonario.
