Saraperos punish with patience and timely production; defeat Tecolotes with solid work from Manny Barreda

The Saraperos de Saltillo got off to a good start in the series against Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos , winning 8-3 as visitors. The offense responded in key moments, and starter Manny Barreda delivered an effective outing to maintain control of the game in the first half.
The game started with a good offensive rhythm for the visiting team, which managed to take the lead from the second inning. An RBI groundout by Julián León allowed the go-ahead run to score on Missael Rivera's spikes. Fernando Villegas then popped out the second run, and although Jonathan Araúz was thrown out at home, Villegas reached second base.
In the third inning, Saltillo showed patience by loading the bases and taking advantage of the home team's sloppy pitching. Missael Rivera, Keven Lamas, and Jonathan Araúz drew consecutive walks with two outs, allowing three more runs to be added to the scoreboard. Renato Núñez, Bobby Bradley, and Fabricio Macías benefited from the team's efforts in that inning.

However, Saltillo 's offense pressed again in the fourth inning. Julián León responded with a tiebreaking RBI single, driving in Rivera . Jonathan Araúz then drew another bases-loaded walk, and Keven Lamas followed suit to drive in another.
In the ninth inning, with the score 7-3 in favor of the sarape, Fernando Villegas hit a ground ball that ended in a double play, but allowed Araúz to score the eighth run of the game.
Manny Barreda , the Saraperos ' starting pitcher, was key to this victory by containing the border offense in the early innings. Although he allowed a temporary tie, his performance allowed Saltillo to stay in the game until the offense regained control.
With this victory, Saraperos sends a clear message at the start of the series against the North Zone leader, confirming their intention to continue adding points on the path to the postseason.
