Tecolotes repeats the dose in Saltillo and secures the series against Saraperos

Saraperos de Saltillo and Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos faced off this Wednesday at Francisco I. Madero Stadium for the second game of the series, following the home team's resounding 14-2 defeat on Tuesday. La Nave Verde looked to rebound, but the visitors once again imposed their influence and took a 5-4 victory to secure the series.
Kurt Heyer started for the Saraperos , scoring a scoreless first inning. Nate Antone got the start for the Tecolotes . The game started evenly, but the visitors opened the scoring in the third inning. Francisco Arcia 's double to center field allowed Ryan Aguilar to score the first run for Laredo .
Saltillo responded in the fourth inning. Alejandro Mejía singled to drive Missael Rivera home, and after a grounder by Alex Mejía, Alejandro crossed home to give the Dragón del Norte a 2-1 lead.

The visitors' reaction was not long in coming. In the fifth inning, Johan Camargo drove in the tying run with a hit that drove in Francisco Arcia . Later in the sixth, Camargo scored again with a sacrifice fly that allowed Harold Ramírez to score the third run for the Tecolotes .
Saraperos showed signs of life again in the bottom of the same inning. Alejandro Mejía homered with Maikel Serrano on board, giving Saltillo the lead again, 4-3.
The game remained close. In the eighth, Ali Castillo scored the tying run for the visitors, keeping the tension going until the final inning. In the ninth, Cade Gotta crossed the plate to break the tie, leaving the score at 5-4 in favor of Laredo .
With this result, Tecolotes secured the series in Saltillo and left the Saraperos needing to salvage the final game to avoid a sweep and end a losing streak that has stretched into recent games.
The third and final game of the series is scheduled for this Thursday at 7:30 pm, again at the Francisco I. Madero Stadium .
